Soooo... I think there might be something seriously wrong with me, to the point where my husband wanted to take me to the hospital last night. I was screaming in my sleep, sweating profusely, and falling out of my bed. The problem was, I couldn't wake up. I still don't feel totally awake.
But last night, it was like I was slipping in and out of consciousness. My husband said I had a thousand-mile stare, looking right through him. He was terrified, but whenever I did get my senses back, I'd tell him "No, honey I'm fine", but I've forgotten whole chunks of the night with no memory of any dreams, and he cared for me for 8hrs straight from 9 pm to 5 am, so I'm inclined to believe him. Right now, I'm fighting that "nodding off" feeling, complete with a tingling in my hands. I feel a heaviness in my breath and I can't stop kicking my leg. It's difficult for me to write right now because my brain can't pick out the right words. This post is taking for fucking forever right now.
I think it might be night terrors with a touch of narcolepsy. Not sure, but I'm researching it now. I've always been prone to sleep paralysis and they are closely related.
If anyone has any knowledge pertaining to this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you're anything like me, then the first thing you look for when you pick up a book is a good character to connect with. Someone to relate to, to share experiences with. Someone… to believe in.
But how to you create such a character as a writer?
Now bear in mind that I don’t just mean a believable person, that’s a start of course, but this goes beyond making sure your characters are well-balanced between their talents and their faults.
